Have had an 'old' one for years as a backup in my pocket.  Works fine.  Not
too conservative but has to be 'turned on' for the first dive of the day.
Dont ask about how you turn on a computer. I dont want to go there.  User
replaceable commonly available camera batteries.  It was my wife's first
computer before she moved on to nitrox.  Probably 5 years old several
hundred dives never a problem.
