I know little or nothing of the new regulator, but the above statement does
trigger my interest. Are you sure this is a piston first stage? USD used
the external screw adjustment for the intermediate pressure on their
diaphram regulators quite sucessfully and I seem to recall that Scuba Pro
was planning something for those who prefer diaphram regulators.

It seems that Titanium anything is expensive. I just could not resist a
Titanium folding dive knife even though it is not as suitable for my needs
as the knives I presently carry. I paid dearly for that knife too.

Not too long ago, there was something going around that related the use of a
Titanium first stage, an Atomic I believe, to the ignition of nitrox,
probably at a higher O2 concentration than most of us will ever use.
Regardless, I suggest checking a bit before you lay out that kind of money,
particularly since you are considering it for Elisa.

I've been using a Mark 20 since shortly after the 1999 Cozfest. So far, so
good. The techs I know swear it's very easy to service and maintain and the
Scuba Pro warranty is pretty nice. It picks up all parts costs. I think it
costs me something like $45 per service at a shop now known for its low
prices. My primary is a G250 which is a very nice full sized regulator with
both venturi and cracking pressure adjustments. My secondary, an R380, has
only a venturi adjustment but is still a very nice smaller sized regulator.
I haven't tried any of the newer second stages.
