Perhaps. But if nobody saw the tree in the desert, does it exist?

You actually made your first post in July 2001, and several others in
August, but those were the months that I was on my "sabbatical" from
the list to ensure that I win my $2,500 wager when I returned. That
was one reason I hadn't noticed you.

Then you dropped out a few months ... well, welcome back! :-)

I don't remember how, but I'll take your word for it.

I don't think I ever use those words myself, but it's actually TRUE,
whoever said it, for MOST of the readers/posters.

It escaped you because I was never "asked to leave". :-)

That was May 24, 2000.

May I put in a little plug for using the ARCHIVES. I use it everyday
because I post it from there. That way, you wouldn't have to depend
on your recollection when it comes to factual matters on this list.

That's the way it should be. That's why I don't participate in those
threads about the blackbeard liveaboard (which brought you back last
November; nor those tech-diving matters which I don't do).

So, are you saying "scubnski" is your screen-name elsewhere? I seem to
recall having seen it in rec.scuba.
