Mike, Kuty, David.

Thanks for your condolences. I didn't know my uncle all that well, however
my grandmother has lost two of her four sons in the matter of three years.
It's her I'm really worried about, but that's a whole other story. I
suppose the best way to think about it is that Rick died doing what he loved
to do - fishing - and I hear that drowning, once you realize that you are,
is one of the most peaceful ways to go. Not particularly comforting though
for those left still living.

Thanks for your insights into professional search and rescue divers. I find
it a fascinating job, and my family has had nothing but amazing things to
say about the divers searching for Rick. They have been briefing them daily
on their efforts, and have never talked jargon. They really are shining
lights in pretty dark part of my family's history.

I don't know if Kuty and Mike noticed but in both of their answers they
mentioned the need to 'give something back to my community.' Probably not a
coincidence. I can't imagine doing what they do for a living and respect
them immensely for that service. They never do get the recognition they
deserve. So, since I can't really say it to the people searching for Rick,
I'll say it to you: Thanks for your service. It takes a special person to
do what you do.

Cheers and warm regards,

Kat
