Kat,

I tried on the Volos in calm water and it felt like I had no fins on at all.
Swimming was easy but I noticed a drawback. I now have Mares Avanti and I
use the reaction of the downward kick to make small course and position
adjustments. I know that only now because with the Volos I was unable to do
that, there is practically no reactive force.

I also did a speed test and at first glance it seems I can not reach the
speeds that I have with the Avanti's. I have to check that again. Another
thing I need to test is the behaviour in currents. I lack the feel of a
powerful kick, but I do not know yet if that means there is no power or if I
just do not feel it anymore.

The Volo is either a fabulous invention or just a marketing gimmick. The
jury is still out as far as I am concerned.
