EPIRB use is not a new thing for divers here in the US either. I
have been hearing more and more about them the last couple
years. Seems like a pretty good contingent of the NE Wreckers
are carrying them along now. My take is that for open ocean diving,
they would be a good thing to have along. As for depth ratings, I
seem to recall reading that they were being carried in some type of
waterproof container similar to a cannister light cannister.
