No, I'm still using the s500.  I can't seem to flood it, loose it, or break it.  Uncharacteristically, I'm uninformed and unaware of the upgraded 550.  Hopefully this will not tarnish my "gear slut" reputation.  :-)  


...and thanks for the kind words about the pix.  I regret not capturing a better one of the two 5' cobias hunting with the eagle ray.  They were movin' too quick to get the camera unclipped, powered up, focused...I said focus, focus #%&*-it! and shot.
