No, it was Pulau Besar (halfway betweeb Mersing and Tioman). Unfortunately,
visibility was lousy and the dive shop was closed. Anyway, diving was not the
goal of the trip and we had an excellent time with family and friends.
Otherwise, Pulau Besar is a good compromise with dive sites close by,
allowing two tank dives in the morning, leaving the rest of the day to spend
together. Diving is usually ok but not spectacular. Dive sites are shallow
(between 5 and 20 meters) allowing for a lot of bottom time with abundant
fish life and corals. The giant clams can be quite impressive.
