Comments yes, flames, no. Nice article. I enjoyed reading it.

FWIW, I don't do anything nearly as formal as your planning, but I do deep
stops on both decompression and no decompression dives. For simplicity
sake, I start my stops at about half my maximum depth and repeat them every
10 or ever 20 feet depending on my gas supply and the minimum time my
computer will accept to the surface (only displayed when I have a
decompression obligation). My stops are usually 3 minutes only because I
had to pick some interval and the standard I learned for a safety stop at 15
foot safety stop shouldn't be bad for a safety stop at greater depth. Keep
in mind that all of my deco dives, at least so far, are single tank dives
that leave me, after deco, with a small reserve for contingencies.

I haven't noticed a difference in my energy level after the dive. I guess I
should not be surprised since I don't notice a change when using nitrox
either. I have noticed a positive effect on my computer's opinion of my
nitrogen loading. It is very unusual for me to have any deco obligation by
the time I am approaching the surface and, in general, the time at my last
stop (15 feet whether deco or safety), it takes my computer to reenter the
green "safe" zone is reduced. I prefer to be in the green when I head up
from my last stop.
