I have to confess that I don't know how to reply to letters the way
everyone else does (with the indentations seperating each response), so
I am limited in "discussing" things in this medium. Actually, I can do
it but it would take hours of trial and error to get it to come out
right, and I don't have the time. :-) I assume it's a software thing.
So I'll snip your letter into bits and respond as I am able. :-)

all the dive spots around OZ - he showed some Great White Shark pics
from Neptune Island. I was all eyes and ears then as it is one of the
places I will be diving off IN A CAGE once I book my trip - a prize from
a local competition for the best ray or shark pic. <<

Well, aren't you humble! You won first place for a pic of a ray/shark,
and you told me you were still just learning. :-) I would like to see
some of your pictures, if you don't mind. Are they on your website? I
think I might have your website saved somewhere. ...And I think you
would be smart to stay IN THE CAGE. :-) I'm no expert, but it seems to
me, that great whites are not as bad as the media portrays them. On the
other hand, they are not predictable enough to pretend they won't
attack. :-)

<<David said it was a bit of a rough day but they had one huge GWS that
was pretty relaxed in the water so he decided to exit out of the cage
for some better pics. While David & his safety diver were busy keeping
an eye on the shark they did not realise that the cage was slowly
drifting further & further away from them. You can guess what happened
next. Shark started to get a bit too close for comfort and turning
around to nip back in to the safety of the cage they found it was not
where they last saw it. David said he actually had to bunt the shark on
the nose with his camera housing a few times before they actually
located the cage again.<<

I have trouble believing that I would ever survive "bunting a great
white in the nose." And although that shark seemed relaxed as they
watched from inside the cage, I'd bet seeing an easy dinner got him
excited. :-)

<<I am such a chicken I would probably forget to press the button on the
camera when the GWS comes up to the cage let alone venture outside of it
as bait ;-) Viv<<

Nah... you'll probably get some great shots. Just come back in one
piece. ...And just in case you hadn't noticed, spring will soon be
coming your way. :-) ...but it will be fall here (:-((
