Hey Tim,

Scuba-SE does not lack any volunteer to do the routine LIST Management
job.

There are "free" volunteers who have a record of COMPETENCE in such jobs.
Jeff Kell, Harold Pritchett, and some members of the current UTC staff.

Then there is a volunteer who CLAIM he knows it all, but have PROVEN
(in his Scuba-L postings showing convincingly his ignorance on LISTSERV
matters, defending Nick the tyrant.

Incompetent on Chuck's part cost MY TIME, which is NOT FREE.

Nick doesn't want to step aside from his List Ownership in Scuba-L even
though he KILLED it -- for his own ego.

If Chuck were to step aside, acknowleging his lack of familiarity with
LISTSERV matters (I'll be kind(er) and not use the word "ignorance" in
this paragraph), I can ASSURE you that there will be MORE THAN ONE
VERY competent persons on this LIST who are WILLING and ABLE to take
Chuck's place, with the blessing of UTC.  I know at least ONE, with a
proven track record, Harold, who would not have made the blunders and
fauz-pas Chuck made in his short "fill-in" status.

Chuck is massaging his own ego, just as Nick does.  They are the
wonder twins of Scuba-L/Scuba-SE.  Make no mistake about it.

Harold doesn't charge anything either, but at least I can count on
Harold (or other candidates) NOT to screw up the way Chuck did.
