Forget what Christian says. Munich was 60% bombed out.

US-Euro countries treaties do not allow that yet. The EU is challenging
these bilateral agreements, the US is blocking. But of course you can do
that flight with a stop in Paris. Currently the treaties only allow LH and
American airlines (lower case A on the word airlines) to fly that route
non-stop.
