Strike, I never claimed that the risks are lower. I simply made some
matter of fact, or so I hope, statements as to what is done aboard
Remora. Some of it has not been mentioned on this thread and some of
it might even make sense or prove of value to others.

***For that technique of diving.***

ANY form of diving should be designed such that it is as low risk as
possible. I was merely trying to contribute my 2 cents worth and I was
not and did not comment as to the desirability, or otherwise, of this technique.

Someone once said that rules are made to be broken. Never mind. I
probably know most of the "What if ...?" questions and, yes, that can
happen. Its a reason why we have a 100 metre mermaid line with five SS
clips each with its own bubble so you can attach your gear if
necessary. Oh, the clips are at the far end.

Note how I worded that last. Its not as if we aren't aware that it
can, and probably will, happen. When it does, lets hope that a roaring
current has not sprung up at the same time, even though I am a great
respecter of Murphy and his Law.
