I bet you're glad you took the plunge and decided to get spliced now that

I still remember seeing a sting-ray barb mounted on a board in the R.N.
diving museum.  It had penetreted the rebreather harness and killed the
wearer - in Sydney Harbour!

I'm very glad that Jeannie survived the experience OK - but it does
highlight the value of meat tenderiser in a diving first-aid kit!  (And if
push comes to shove, you always look like the consumate survivalist when -
out in the back of beyond - you can produce a few culinary luxuries!)  :-)
