I think that is very true.

Exactly!

On the face of it, this analogy seems inaccurate, but on closer inspection,
it is. While Truk may not be a heroes' cemetary, the practice of many
divemasters in Truk, of actually moving human remains to their own little
hidey-holes, so they can "lead" divers to them, is no better than digging up
a grave.

As for Viv's comments regarding the horrors visited on the people of Truk by
the Japanese, and the implication that this somehow entitles them to disturb
the graves: I doubt that many of the divemasters currently operating in Truk
were born within 20 years of that time. One could, I suppose, summon some
understanding for a man who takes revenge on a former tormentor, but it
seems to me that this is not the case in Truk. It's about thrilling
tourists.
