There is an interesting article "On Your Own: The Buddy System
Rebutted" at

http://www.cisatlantic.com/trimix/aquacorps/survive/nobuddy.htm

What is your experience concerning the buddy/no-buddy issue ?

I, for one, have been UW both with buddies & alone. Both ways
have pros & cons. However, in my experience, I have found that it
__may__ be better to dive alone than with a "snob" or a "cowboy".
Marine science centres & university faculties are full of such
divers: people who dont think about what they actually do and
make even the most simple UW operation as risky as
"bomb-squad-busyness" :-)

Any comments ?

Cheers,

       aldo
