It is my considered opinion that when it comes to clear warm water diving
the long hose and necklace are solutions in search of a problem.

On the CAIV this past June several divers tried to explain to me why I need
the long hose and necklace (mind you, 78f is the coolest water I have
dived in since 1994, and less than 25m of vis is a bad day!), and I
couldn't think of a single time in 350 warm water dives that such a set-up
would have been useful.

My 2cents following a long day, a night at the ball park, several beers and
an ugly Cardinal victory over the Reds, 10 to 5.

Dive safe,

/Don
