I'm particularly glad you responded. I had a system level virus and when
Norton fixed it, it fixed my system with it. I had to reload Windows 98,
including Outlook Express. so much for all my addresses. Now I have yours
back.

You aren't real fond of the digitial revolution, are you. OK, so you've
told me what you don't like, now tell me what you do like. My Mavica at
about 640k, is only half as good as the cameras I'm considering and I'm OK
with it. You don't need a lot of resolution for computers, the web or
television. I also really like the idea of being able to edit on a computer
and do mpeg clips up to a minute long. A 128 meg memory stick isn't too
shabby either.

The balance is beginning to shift to the 110. The TRV 30 looks like a
better unit but the housing is a foot square and 16 lbs, twice the size and
weight of the for the 110 which is not exactly small either. The only
housing I've found I like so far is by Ocean Images model at
http://www.oceanimagesinc.com/Products/Dolphin_PC-100.htm . It has
electronic controls which seem to me to be a better idea than mechanical
ones. The fewer O rings I have to deal with, the better. It's designed to
allow the integrated screen to swing out and serve as a viewfinder. With
the lighting system, I'm looking at about $3 grand for everything. I'll be
looking for packages that will make that a bit more reasonable, but if $3
grand is what it costs to get the right toy, then that's what it costs.

Let me know if you see any great deals and/or have any further thoughts on
what I should or should not consider.

Lee
