Bullshit. You mind being criticized and go out of your way to defend
yourself whether you are right or wrong. You divert attention from the
main issues when you've made a mistake, you try to focus on other issues
that are a bit more defensible, you accuse others of saying what you,
yourself said and when all else fails, you call your opponent and idiot who
is of no consequence. I started with a point by point rebuttal of your post
and, when I got to the statement above, decided to deal with the entire
issue in one, much shorter message.

Lets see if you can do the same with this one. On 6/27/2000 you posted:

"For example, Sherry cross-posted a reply to ME (in scuba-SE) to Scuba-L,
which is none of THEIR business there -- they could read me in Scuba-SE. "

"Therefore, if a discussant has SOMETHING to discuss, START and end the
thread WITHIN the SAME group."

"It is generally frowned upon, even within rec.scuba SUBGROUPS, to cross
post."

When asked what the point of bringing your fight into Scuba-SE was, you, you
posted:

"Given the same circumstances, I'll do it every time."

Feel free to explain how this is applying the same standards to yourself as
you do to others and why I, and others members of the list should not do
what you do so often, assign a name to you based on your action, for example
"hypocrite."

You may have voluntarily unsubscribed from Scuba-L when the rest of us did,
but you're not voluntarily unsubscribed this time, are you? You stepped out
in front of a speeding vehicle, one you knew was going to continue on the
path it had previously established. You did it on purpose, knowing what was
going to happen as everyone one of us here would have. Now you're
complaining because you got run over. Too bad. Tell it to someone who
cares . . . privately or where it belongs, on Scuba-L.
