This certainly is shocklingly sad news.

At the Bahia Hotel I was Ray's roomie during the Coz99NEDfest and it was
like having a bodyguard. Him, being the gentleman he was, rarely allowed me
to walk anywhere alone without him as an escort... even just around the
block to a chemist to get something to ease a rotten headcold.

When we had our door prize night + drinkies in Reef Feesh's room I recall
the look on Ray's face when he presented Strike with a special gift - a
magnificent titan triggerfish. He was so happy to have made our 'Viking
God' for once, speechless. On returning home from that NEDfest us gals were
all surprised to receive bracelets made out of some mexican coins to
remember the Coz trip by. Ray was alwasy doing things for others.

He certainly was the most family orientated guy I'd ever known .. his
little boy was the apple of his eye.
