I believe it was a sailfish. The story goes that while cruising from the
Similans towards Richelieu Rock, the captain spotted a pod of false killer
whales. He steered the boat to an intercept point, where they put
snorkellers in the water to observe the pod. False killer whales feed on
sailfish, among other things, and apparently the pod was indeed chasing a
sailfish who found its path blocked by a human. So it stabbed her in the
abdomen. I believe she lived. Don't know about the sailfish :-)
