Since the week-end, I've changed the long hose from the previous six foot to
a seven foot and shortened the hose on the back-up reg from 24 inches to 21
inches. I found the seven foot hose much easier to use. Not carrying a
canister light, I was able to make a small bight in the excess that stayed
tucked in place beneath the right waist strap, while removing three inches
from the back-up hose still allowed plenty of freedom when turning the head
to the left, but got rid of the unstreamlined bight that had the potential
to interfere with the smooth passing off of the long hose. I even practiced
the backward kick - not terribly successfully. The hermit crab nearly
caught me! :-)))
