I do drink but usually only if it's a private party. Problem with
drinking outside or with strangers around is that people tend to ask "Are
you okay ? You look so red." or "Oh my God. Angelo you're already very
drunk. Stop drinking." then I have to start explaining that I'm like this
etc. etc. .... There was even a time when I had to go out looking like this
'coz we ran out of beer - people we ran into were avoiding us, when we rode
a public transporation people actually shifted to others seats (far, far
away from us) :-) So to avoid these inconveniences I just order Iced tea
or juice when I'm out. But if it's in one of my close friend's house with
people used to me turning into a 'lobster' then no problemo :-)

Storytime :
BTW, we Filipinos have a certain way of drinking at private parties -
what usually happens is that there's a sort of 'central' source of drinks -
pitcher of beer or a bottle of tequila. One guy would be responsible for
filling a glass and then start passing it to another guy who drinks the
shot, returns it to the person who fills it up again and passes it to the
next guy. This goes on and on to each of the guys until we finish up the
alcohol.
The normal 'catch' for this type of drinking was that one isn't allowed
to pass up, so he has to drink even though he's very very drunk.
Fortunately with my friends, we allow people to pass ....
I don't know if you've tried this type of drinking before but it's the
norm in the Philippines.

OK, I'm confused. Alcohol turns you red but you like tequilla better . . .
Oh well, no matter, you won't be speared for a lobster here in Florida. We
aren't allowed to spear lobster. Just don't make noises like a hogfish
(joke).
