Christian,

Hmmmm, , , I can only speak from personal experience and mine was pretty good. I probably did spend too much, , and I was very much the tourist. I did enjoy the view, , , the location and the food!! Of course, , I've only been a maximum of three, , maybe four times and all those things were good on all those visits.

How bout a "Meat Pie" at "Harry's Cafe de Wheels"?? I liked that too!! I was an incurable tourist, , , but didn't pay too much for those wonderful pies!! <G> The view was damn good from that sidewalk too!! <hehe>

Alfred

A "high-class" Fish and Chippery with superb views and lots of tourists who don't know better and pay a premium price for, arguably, an inferior product.

Sorry, I have a particular bent against that particular Doyles which has been trading off its name since forever.

Interestingly enough, The Pier that I've mentioned previously (very few kilometres west) is owned by another Doyle - he is also chief chef. Some would say that this is the best fish restaurant in Oz.

There are in fact at least two other Doyles, both very serious chefs, in Sydney but no, I have no idea if they're related.

Cheers,

Christian
