LOL. Hell yeah! I joined the Navy to avoid having to fight & am proud of it. Delivering the fighters to the fight is what I wanted. Then the USN put me on an ocean going minesweeper (MSO), where in theory we were in front of everyone clearing the way. The life expectancy of a minesweeper entering a live mine field was something like 30 seconds. Sheesh, I didn't sign up for that.
