Yesterday I noticed an oddity with the triggers. Some number have take on a
bi-colored appearance. Whitish on the front and darker on the back. I know
some fish undergo this kind of change during breeding (cichlids for example)
and I am wondering if ocean triggers do as well. There did seem to be a lot
of aggression between the bi-colored fish so my guess is that they are the
males if the supposition on breeding is correct.
BTW, for all those on the CAIV trip, the water temp here is 84-85 so I
suspect Caymans are about the same. First two days of diving was with no
wetsuit but with dives averaging 100 minutes, I put on a wetsuit the 3rd
day.
