It'f Farandon, not Farrandon, you phool! :-) Fhe didn't play the
baffoon in the fchool orcheftra -- fhe played the phagot in
claffical mufic.
For the English speaking folks ... the Poms call a bassoon a fagot,
and a bassonist a fagotist. So, the next time somebody calls you
a FAGOT, just tell him to blow it! ;-)
