Been there and actually done that. and i swear the next part is true. my
wife and i were on a vacation in cancun before our son was born (she was 7
months pregnant) and I decided that it would be fun to fly on a
tri-islander (3 engine piston aircraft) back and forth to cozumel for a day
of diving. i know this sounds like a corny movie, but we actually had more
animals (mostly in crates, but their was a goat on a leash) than people on
board. i got to play copilot and even wore a headset and talked to atc...can
you picture this in the states? we cabbed into san miguel and booked a tiny
boat for a private two-tank dive. i will never forget being at 65fsw, for
the first time in cozumel, drift diving and turning over on my back to watch
my wife (at first i thought she was a manatee...seven months pregnant after
all) snorkeling along with us on the surface in front of the dive boat and
escorted by one of the crew. she seemed so close that i could almost touch
her. It was truly a memorable day, and a great experience. We hated Cancun
and never returned, but we've been going to Cozumel ever since.

So yes Bob, I have heard of that route. Thanks for rekindling the memory.

Mark
