TO: Faculty, Staff and Students on all UT Campuses
FROM: Carolyn Hodges, Chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Council
SUBJECT: Feb. 27 Live Broadcast of Two Presidential Finalists' Interviews

Wherever you are in the state, you have the opportunity to participate
February 27 in the UT Presidential Search Committee's interviews with the
two presidential finalists. The Committee will conduct the interviews at
the Tennessee Tower Building in Nashville. The interviews will be broadcast
in two forms -- through the Internet via live Web cast and by video
broadcast to selected rooms on all UT campuses.

The Search Committee interview schedule for Wednesday is: 12:30 to 2 p.m.
(CST) -- Dr. Marlene I. Strathe, Vice President for Academic Affairs and
Provost, University of Northern Colorado; and 3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. (CST) -- Dr.
John W. Shumaker, President, University of Louisville.

For the live Web cast go to
http://helios.tns.utk.edu:8080/ramgen/encoder/psearch.rm on Wednesday
during the interview times. The technology allows up to 200 viewers to
access the site at any given time.

Sites for the video broadcasts are:

-- Chattanooga: 212 Fletcher Bldg., 615 McCallie Ave.

-- Knoxville (two locations): University Center Ballroom and Studio B, 40
Communications Bldg.

-- Martin: 209 Gooch Hall, University Street. (Note: The broadcast will
cease at this location at 4 p.m. CST so that the regularly scheduled class
may continue in the room.)

-- Memphis: Room A-304 General Education Bldg., 8 South Dunlap.

-- Tullahoma: Room E-113 Administration Bldg., B.H. Goethert Parkway.

I encourage you to view the telecast in the way most convenient for you.
This is a valuable opportunity for you to participate in the presidential
search process. Also, as you have been able to do throughout the search
process, you may submit comments to the Advisory Council through the
Presidential Search Web site at http://utpresidentsearch.tennessee.edu/
