TRI BETA INITIATION CEREMONY
Tri-Beta is the National Biological Honors Society and our initiation
will be on Thursday Dec 2 at 4:30pm in Patten Chapel, followed by a
reception for new inductees.  The campus is invited to come and honor
these outstanding students.

FREE and Funny Hypnosis Show this Thursday:

ACE presents Hypnotist Tom DeLuca's "Theatre of the Imagination" show
at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, in the UC Auditorium.  This event is
FREE for all students.  Tom DeLuca is this year's National NACA Variety
Entertainer of the Year and last year's Performing Artist of the Year.

SGA ANNOUNCEMENTS
"Don't Be A Square, Paint a Square!" will be Friday December 3rd from
2-4. This is for any and all organizations to paint a square
representing their
organization on a wall of The Campus Crossroads. We will be serving
pizza and drinks to those who attend! Come one and all to make the

The Student Handbook/Student Directories for 2004-05 are now available
in the University Center lobby. Please stop by to pick up your free
copy. Be sure to look at the advertisements in the yellow pages. There
are discount coupons and a variety of discounts for students at most of
the businesses.

GEAR UP HAS JOB OPENINGS
Looking for a Part-Time Job?
The GEAR UP Program is currently accepting applications for tutors to
work in area middle and high schools. Tutors will be working after
school with 7th and 8th graders helping them with their reading and
math skills. The pay is $7.00 an hour based on your experience. This is
a wonderful opportunity for education majors as well as English and
Math majors. The hours are Monday-Thursday 2:00-5:30 p.m. for seven
weeks.  Positions are also available for in-school tutoring. The
program will begin with staff training the week of January 10th and
after school tutoring will run through March 4th, 2005.    Freshman,
sophomores, juniors and seniors and graduate students of all majors are
