Tearing Down of the Wall, the culmination of the Writing on the Wall
Project, will be held on Friday, April 15, at noon, outside of the
University Center.

The Writing on the Wall Project's vision is to engage communities
across the nation in a shared experience that inspires individuals to
get involved and organizations to collaborate and take action to
confront the issues of awareness, oppression, and discrimination.

The Wall is a physical representation of oppression of others
throughout human history. It symbolizes the barrier that prevents
individuals, races, genders, and cultures from connecting in our shared
humanity.

Each brick is a painted, drawn, or written representation of moment in
an individual's experience or our collective history of an act of
discrimination, an outrage, a crime, or an act of inhumanity.

The project is sponsored by the UTC Student Government Association. We
hope you will join our students for this meaningful ceremony.
