While I am completely in favor of an adequate solution to the SSCONFIG
problem that is looming on the horizon, wouldn't it be nice for software
vendors to build in altnernative HPSUSAN type logic into their software so
that for example, a customer in BIG TROUBLE could call some central 24 hour
800 type number, tell them the current HPSUSAN number and get a secret code
of some sort to allow the software to run on an alternate machine say for 10
days????  It's quite doable.

Anybody want me to write some software to automate the 24 hour 800 number
function?  That's doable as well.  Solves lots of potential problems.
