I suspect humor is always in need.
And this is not to poke fun at Jeff, just noting
the play with words.

Have you seen the Disney movie, The Emperor's New Grove?
Recall the part where Yzma and Kronk are locked in the closet,
and Yzma says something about open this door AND we'll burn the
house done. Then the little girl asks Don't you mean OR, so
which is it?

As I read Jeff's post, that scene came to mind when I read the
typo.  severed should have been served.
