Y'all may have seen current Interex "InstaPoll" results at:
http://www.hpuseradvocacy.org/index.cfm?pollDisplay=results&QuestionID=58
Fairly interesting, even though only 118 votes total so far:
"What plans does your company have for apps on e3000 ?". As
of just after high noon US PDT Thurs 25 Sept:
3.4 percent have migrated.
5.1 percent planning to migrate within 12 months.
7.6 percent planning to migrate within 24 months.
21.2 percent planning to migrate, time not set.
22.9 percent hoping for OpenSource.
39.8 percent are Homesteading.
i.e.: Only 16 percent have migrated or plan to migrate within
two years FROM RIGHT NOW; which is already nearly two years
since HP announced EOL for the e3000.
Just what Interex meant "OpenSource" to mean in this context
might be subject to a bit of interpretation, but if it's fair
to generally lump OpenSource and Homesteading as at least
somewhat "together", that sez that of the 118 people voting so
far nearly 2/3 still have no plans to migrate. That's higher
than I would have expected at this point.
