The Oracle Transparent Gateway for MPE/iX won't run under Oracle 9i so if you
are planning to upgrade to 9i another solution has to be found. Oracle's
recommendation is to switch from Transparent Gateway to the Oracle Generic
Connectivity / Heterogeneous Services approach.

We at MiniSoft are pleased to report that our successful MPE/iX specific driver
ODBC/32 has recently been enhanced to support full read and write access to
TurboImage data from Oracle applications, using the Generic Connectivity
approach that Oracle recommends for version 9i.

The server module of ODBC/32 is fully supported on all versions of MPE/iX from
6.0 to 7.5.
