I think this is a *perfect* summary of what is being said by the
"emotional response" people.  HP has lost a *lot* of trust among many
in the HP3000 community.  If the emulator is tied to HP equipment, many
people are *not* interested.  This is a negotiation process: HP states
what it is willing to do or look at and we try to encourage them to
move closer to what we need.

Let's take this as encouraging news from HP and continue the
negotiation process.
