Our policy for the last 22 years has been to avoid buying 3rd party apps,
and even HP software that was not part of the core operating system, mostly
so we wouldn't have to worry about being orphaned.  The ONLY 3rd-party app
that can even inconvenience us is MPRX, and we use that mostly interactively
(batch only when we can't figure how to do something without it).

Apologies to all the software vendors who are still backing the 3000 who
have never made any money off us and probably never will......
