There is any event coming up that you or some of your staff would enjoy
attending. I have some free passes. You can attend one or both days.
Alfredo Rego of Adager will be the keynote speaker on Saturday. If you are
interested in virtualization solutions like VMware or the latest blade solutions,
this will be a must attend affair. There will be HP lab engineers (not just the
sales guys) presenting on blade servers, including one of the lab engineers
from the Virtual Connect team. This will be a great opportunity to explore
how Virtual Connect will fit into your environment in an up-close and personal
manner and get an overview of all the blade management solutions. And best
of all, it is absolutely free--lunch included. In fact we may just see Paul
Edwards and Birkett Foster face off over the barbeque grill one evening.

The Greater Houston Regional User Group 2008 International Technology
Conferencewill be held Friday and Saturday, March 14th and 15th. This is a
two-day multi-track event that will be held at the University of Houston—
Clear Lake, right outside the front gates of NASA. Whether you are facing
long term legacy systems or ramping up for the next generation of blade
systems, this event is for you. Meet HP and HP partner engineers to discuss
real world solutions with HP BladeSystem servers and workstations and how
virtualization is revolutionizing the data center.

This is a must for Unix/linux administrators. Internationally recognized HP-UX
expert Bill Hassell will do a deep dive into HP-UX security and advanced script
writing.

HPe3000 users should certainly attend. There will be two tracks dedicated to
migration and homesteading for the HPe3000 community. Meet members of
the OpenMPE board.

Contact me for a free pass.

For more information on the conference visit the website at
http://www.ghrug.org. For hotel information visit
http://cwp.marriott.com/houcl/ghrug/.

Be sure to let me know you are attending. We look forward to seeing you
there!
