Hi,

Could this be:-

(1)An attempt to kill off OPENMPE by creating a dustbin group.

(2)A real acknowledgement of the existance of HP e3000 users and
their needs.

I would be interested in any comments / information.

Regards

Ted

1. CALLING ALL HP E3000 USERS!

Following HP's decision to kill off the HP e3000, users worldwide have been
at sea.
Emmet Hayes, chairman of HPCUA, and a former HP e3000 regional marketing
manager,
has decided it is time to provide a compass! As part of the HPCUA's services
to HP users,
he is proposing to set up an HP e3000-specific user forum
"Our members are telling us HP has lost focus on the e3000. Part of this is
undoubtedly a communications problem," Hayes boldly asserted. "The message
to HP e3000 users should be: 'HP still loves you, when you change, change
with HP.' And if people decide to stick with the HP e3000 and 'homestead'
with it, we want to help them with that."
Hayes hopes to work with fellow users, and with HP and its e3000 partners,
to set up a UK forum to exchange HP e3000 war stories (of migration or
homesteading), run events, publish informative newsletters, swap technical
tips.
At the moment, Hayes is testing the waters, he says: "If there is enough
interest, we will run with it. We want to be the one stop shop for HP e3000
information and issues."
