Ah but in the new world of computers, you don't!  Glad that you are
contributing to this discussion.  It's been a big issue for me the past with
regard to how HP has treated license transfers.

For giggles: If you own your own CPU board, can you smash it up?  de-solder
some ICs? Change the contents of say a static memory IC?

Did you say YES to all of those questions?  Are you violating a HP license by
doing any of that?  Did you change your static 'stable storage' memory IC in
ways that HP would approve of?
