my gripe with suggesting 9x8's as an alternative to 9x7's is the lack
of io (slots) for most 9x8's.  most of these boxes only have two slots
and you're soooo limited as a result with the amount of disc that can
be attached.

there's nothing comparable to a 987.  the 988 is close but good luck
trying to find one!
