Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that the folks contemplating
developing an emulator were thinking of emulating the hardware, not the
software.  If they are going to distribute copies of MPE then they probably
need at least 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, and 7.5 to keep the HPIB and latest hardware
folks in the fold.
