This thread is astounding, to me at least. Interex has been putting on Solutions Symposiums for years. These events are and were
totally focused on MPE, with the added bonus of a high labbie to user ratio. This conference started as IPROF over a decade ago
with the first couple held at HP in Cupertino. When the number of attendees grew too large, we were forced out of HP and into a
nearby hotel. HP kept on sending hosts of lab tech, marketing folks and management to meet with everyone. I attended virtually all
these events over the years and they are great.

After the announcement, Interex held another SolSymp and this was the most attended one with a wide range of subjects, all MPE
related. This year, Interex held two of these events, one on the East Coast, the other on the West Coast. Some people forgot to
show up it seems.

Now, we get people complaining about HP World being too big and wanting an MPE-only event. Why did they not attend either one of
the Solutions Symposium? What is wrong with this picture? Where is the disconnect?

I will tell you that I believe most MPE people would like to attend both HP World and the Solutions Symposium, but budgetary and
other constraints step in to prevent that. Usually, it's one conference a year, take you pick. Interex tried to make it easier to
attend the SolSymp, by holding one on each coast. It didn't seem to help, people chose to come to HP World. Given a choice of a
single conference a year, that is what I would do.

So, bottom line here, what do you really want? (Yes, I know, I want my MPE. :) )
