John,

        That does seem to be in conflict.  I personally believe the issue is
competing factions within HP.  I believe the people in "virtual CSY" want to
do right by their customers but they have to build a business case that can
be sold up the chain.  This option allows them to argue that it allows HP to
retain customers and generate revenue while not forcing them to migrate.

Jon,

I think that it is a bit cheeky to insist that an MPE Emulator only
runs on HP hardware. Why? They want out of the HP3000 market. Why not
just let it go?
