The pcl_supported=false solution looks god to me but why do you plan to strip
imbedded PCL sequences ?
In my opinion the network printing driver should pass all data in the spoolfile
as it is to the device without any stripping or adding. Only with this solution
you can drive any printer with any style of control sequences.
