Regarding the email received on December 18 that contained the following
invitation:
We would like
> to invite you to an upcoming webcast hosted by George Stachnik on the
> Value and Benefits of Transitioning your HP e3000 to the Microsoft
> Platform on Webnesday, January 14 from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. PST.
Jeff, I don't think you need to consider this email as spam.
I, personally do not consider it spam when it is an honest effort to
provide assistance to the decision makers in many businesses that have
worked with HP 3000 computers over the years and now must find an
alternative. We need all the help we can get. In fact, I would hope
that other "interested parties" would share their ideas. after all, the
objective is to ease the migration process. Information is power.
I am looking forward to this webcast hoping it will provide some ideas
to help with the migration path.
In preparation for this web cast I have put a brief page on our web site
that deals just with the issue of migrating the HP3000 to .NET.
If you are interested, have a look at http://www.milltown.ca/hp3000.html
. Its brief and may be helpful.
