I was starting to write a reply to Jeff, but Ron expressed it so much better.
From my limited observations, it appears that most sites that are planning to
migrate in the next few years are going to do so no matter what happens to
MPE. The sites that have decided to homestead are probably going to do so
no matter what happens to MPE. Those that haven't decided yet, probably
the majority, will look around in a few years to see what packages and what
hardware and what operating systems have survived, and what fits with their
business at that point in time. I really do not understand how HP's
determination
to kill MPE, even though they don't want it any more, makes business sense.
