Cross posted from the HP3000-L:

At HPWorld this year, the MPE/HP3000 Management and Technical Roundtables
have been merged into the Customer Needs Panel. The focus of this Panel is
to provide information to HP concerning the needs of the HP3000 customers
regarding MPE for the next few years regardless of whether they are
migrating soon or staying on the platform for an undetermined amount of
time. Also, we will be discussing the SIB items submitted this year and the
future of the SIB process.

Jeff Vance of HP and I, the Panel moderator, have agreed to try a change in
the format of the Panel to be an open discussion group rather than a formal
question and answer exchange with HP at the front of the room. There will be
vCSY management and technical people available in the room as well as
specific representative customers and users. From HP we expect to have Jeff
Vance, Dave Wilde, Ross McDonald, Mike Paivinen, Mark Bixby, Alvina
Nishimoto, Jim Hawkins, and any other vCSY people at the conference. From
the user community, I have selected Terry Simpkins, Donna Garverick, Jon
Backus, Chuck Ciesinski, and Chris Gauthier who all have long term
experience with the HP3000. We hope to have a lively and open discussion.

The session number for the Panel is 2387 and is scheduled for 4:50pm-6:00pm
on Tuesday, August 12, 2003. To view the original abstract for the Panel, go
to http://www.hpworld2003.com/scps/guides/track.jsp?TRACK_ID=2410 and click
on the Customer Needs Panel. Remember we have changed the format and the
focus somewhat.

Interex has a policy that only paid conference attendees and press will be
allowed in the room. If you are unable to attend the conference or the
Panel, you can presubmit questions to the Interex supplied site
http://www.interex.org/c/bulletinboard.html or to me at my email address
listed below between now and August 8, 2003. Please attend or submit
questions and any other information to us. Your comments are very important.
