Donna just reported:
===========================================

The OpenMPE Board of Directors is pleased to announce
OpenMPE's 2004 election results:

The following people were elected for a 2-year term,
Commencing 4/7/2004
John Burke
Donna Garverick
Ron Horner
Steve Suraci
John Wolff

Additionally, Alan Tibbetts was unanimously appointed by the
Board to replace Ted Ashton whose resignation took effect
upon the seating of the new Board ....
============================================

Now that I am a newly ex-member of the BOD and just a plain
old member of OpenMPE again:

I trust the newly constituted BOD is going to publish actual
vote totals for each candidate as soon as the final election
numbers are certified;  i.e.:
There was more than a little controversy on several issues
leading up to this election, and who got how many votes is not
an irrelevant detail in gauging the sentiment of the OpenMPE
membership as to their opinion on what actions the BOD should
or should not take going forward. For example: To sign or not
sign an NDA while HP sez ~~"no need to take action this year"
on the # 1 2004 SIB request...

FOOTNOTE: Less there be any doubt: I was and still am of the
opinion that the BOD should NOT sign any NDA with HP unless and
until HP demonstrates some substantive good faith.
