As you may know, HP recently offered a voluntary retirement package to
eligible US employees. Among those who have chosen to retire from HP on
June 1st are two familiar customer-facing team members: Mike Paivinen
and Jeff Vance.

Clearly, we will miss the valuable contributions of those who are
leaving HP. We want to take this opportunity to assure the community
that the fundamental directions of the e3000 business remain unchanged,
and that plans are already in place to manage the impact of these
transitions. For example, Craig Fairchild will be taking responsibility
for the e3000 user community liaison role that Mike and Jeff have filled
in recent years. In addition, regular participants such as Jim
Hawkins, Bill Cadier, and others will continue to contribute in this
area.

In an unrelated change, our long-time e3000 business manager, Dave
Wilde, is moving on to a new position in the HP Health & Life Sciences
Vertical Market team. He is transitioning his e3000 responsibilities to
Jennie Hou, who has provided strong leadership in the e3000 space (R&D,
Marketing, Partners' Consulting, Support, Services, etc.) for nearly 20
years. Coupled with deep HP experience, Jennie has worked closely with
many partners and customers. We look forward to her expanded role within
the e3000 community.

If there are questions or comments, please contact us directly.

Regards,
Ross McDonald
HP e3000 R&D Lab Manager
